The training arm of the UniSmart UK, the UniSmart UK Academy provides intensive English training to our candidates who want to pursue their higher education / postgraduate education abroad. Based at the most prestigious address in Colombo, Sri Lanka- the World Trade Centre building, the academy provides international standard English training programmes tailor made for SELT Programmes such as IELTS and TOEFL and for academic progression into higher education in the UK and other advanced economies.
Our Intensive English Training Programme has been formulated to run for a 12 weeks duration. Each week will comprise two lessons of 2-3 hour duration, averaging 30 hours of seminars. This is to be supplemented by 60 hours of self-study. Additional one-to-one support is provided as required by the differentiation needs of the cohort. This programme is aimed at learners who are already at CEFR level B1. Therefore, programme has been successful in making very high percentage of our candidates attain the required B2 level for higher education and postgraduate education in the United Kingdom.
The four skills assessed in any SELT - namely reading, writing and listening – are intensively catered for and individualised delivery planning is carried out for each batch. A wide range of learning materials from established SELT are provided in the delivery. This Intensive English Training Programme is provided completely free of charge for our candidates till they pass the SELT to the required level.
